We encourage a balance between academics, arts and culture and sport.
Seven subjects comprise the curriculum in the Intermediate Phase (Grades 4, 5 and 6) and ten subjects are covered in the Senior Phase (Grade 7). isiXhosa is also offered as a second additional language in all grades. Art, computer literacy, book education, singing, drama, enrichment and physical education are taught by specialist teachers in these subjects. Pupils also have the opportunity to enjoy hands-on experiments in our well-equipped Science Laboratory.
Girls in Grades 4, 5 and 6 also enjoy Enrichment classes every week, covering a variety of stimulating and exciting topics.
Computer instruction is given to each girl from Grade R to Grade 7 in our computer centre. All classrooms are equipped with internet access, Smartboards and data projectors. Teachers access Chrome Books to integrate technology in the delivery of the curriculum.
Academic progress is carefully monitored throughout the year. Regular meetings are held on an individual basis with parents.
We are very proud of our academic programme and Rustenburg girls have achieved excellent results in various aspects of their learning. Our school General Knowledge team also do very well in inter-schools competitions.
